A hidden jewel, West Lake is one of the last pristine areas located in an urban area. 1,600 acres of undisturbed, protected mangroves and bird sanctuary. See fish, crabs, wading and shore birds and birds of prey. No motorized boats are permitted here, so it's a kayaker's peaceful refuge. Stop and take a nature walk and visit the exhibit hall. West Lake is a 15 minute drive from Downtown Fort Lauderdale.
